My Dear Friend

Tomorrow if I die

My dear friend.

Let this be

Known to you:

That tonight

I slept my last sleep

With a mind at rest

And a heart in love

With my thoughts

And prayers for you.

If there was a God,

My dear friend

For me it was you.

So I prayed to the

God in you.

I look up to you

With awe and reverence.

You tranquil my life

With peace and solace.

In this holy temple of

Our togetherness…

You are the deity of

My destiny.

I yield, I give in…

All what I have of me

As an offering of love

In humble submission

To the sacred touches

Of your tenderness.
